Five Spectacular Motorcycle Routes in Eastern Canada

No better way to experience the vast landscape of Canada, which has the second largest landmass, 998,4670 KM (385,5100 Miles) in the world, than on a motorcycle. Canada, has four seasons; spring, summer, fall and winter. The weather varies across the country with the west coast having the milder weather.
Below are five routes in Eastern Canada which feature spectacular scenery on serpentine roads. The optimal time of season for motorcycle tours would be from late spring to early fall.
1- Cabot Trail, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia:
Popular with automobile enthusiasts around the world, the Cabot Trail located in Cape Breton Island runs a distance of 298 km (185 mi) and loops the northern tip of the island, passing along and through the scenic Cape Breton Highlands.
2- The Avalon Peninsula, Newfoundland:
The Avalon Peninsula makes up the southeast portion of the island of Newfoundland. The route runs along the peninsula’s rugged coastline with its four major bays: St. Mary’s, Trinity, Conception, and Placentia.

3- Route 138, Quebec:
From Montreal to the end of route 138, the route passed through the Bas-Saint-Laurence and Côte-Nord. Whale watching, Monoliths, untamed wilderness and charming villages dot the route.
4- The Gaspé Peninsula, Quebec
The Gaspé Peninsula runs parallel to route 138 along the St-Lawrence river, and loops the peninsula. The most dramatic coastal views are along the northern route along the St. Lawrence River to Percé.

5- The Highlands Loop, Ontario:
This route provides a complete tour of Ontario’s Highlands with road surfaces vary from asphalt, to packed tar and chip. The route passed the Ottawa River, Rideau Canal, Algonquin Park, Centennial Lake Road and Calabogie.
